Mandi News : It is raining once again in Mandi district. Eight people were buried after a house collapsed in Chalahar village of Segli Bambola village panchayat of Katola tehsil of Drang assembly constituency of the district. The bodies of 7 of these have been recovered.

The DSP said that NDRF and police post teams have reached the spot and relief and rescue operations are underway. In the same area, the Baginala bridge on the road leading to Parashar Lake has been washed away due to heavy rains. Due to this, Parashar The road connectivity of the area has been completely cut off.

All the members of the family have been buried under the debris due to the collapse of a house in Majhwad village, ten kilometers away from the Mandi district headquarters. The administration has reached the spot with machinery and the work of removing the debris is going on. Via Katola road, due to landslides at various places, more than 200 tourists are stuck on this road.

DSP said that the road is closed at many places due to landslides. Due to this the exact number of tourists stranded on the road could not be ascertained. Fifty villages of Bhali valley have been submerged in flood water due to flood in Sukhithi river. This village is in the middle of havoc. And the water level is continuously increasing here. Flood water is causing huge destruction by entering people’s houses and shops.

Due to heavy rains in the district, the Mandi Manali National Highway has been completely blocked and alternative routes have also been closed. A large part of this road has fallen into Pandoh dam near Pandoh dam canchi on Mandi Kullu road. In such a situation, this road will not be able to be restored for traffic for a long time only after the weather opens.
