Mandi: Farmer’s son becomes Assistant Commandant in BSF, handled PM security for 6 years
35-year-old Binder Dev, a resident of Chailchowk, has become Assistant Commandant in BSF. Binder Dev joined BSF as a sub-inspector in the year 2013 and was then promoted as Inspector in the year 2019. But Binder had a desire to move forward, so he started preparing for the CAPF exam for the post of Assistant Commandant. He passed the exam in the first attempt and is now going to serve as a gazetted officer in BSF.
Mandi, 06 October: 35-year-old Binder Dev, a resident of Chailchowk, has become Assistant Commandant in BSF. Binder Dev joined BSF as a sub-inspector in the year 2013 and was then promoted as Inspector in the year 2019. But Binder had a desire to move forward, so he started preparing for the CAPF exam for the post of Assistant Commandant. He passed the exam in the first attempt and is now going to serve as a gazetted officer in BSF.
After the passing out parade held at the BSF Officer Training Academy in Tekanpur, Madhya Pradesh on October 5, Binder will now take over as Assistant Commandant in Kohima, Nagaland. Apart from Binder, Arvind Pathania of Bilaspur has also become Assistant Commandant. These are the only two talented people from Himachal Pradesh who have been selected in BSF.
Binder’s father is a farmer, he studied from JNV
Binder Dev’s father Durga Das is a farmer. He still does farming. Binder’s mother Barfi Devi has passed away. Binder did his primary education from Chail Chowk School. After this, he was selected for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and completed his studies till 12th. After this, he got a B.Tech degree in Computer Science from Himachal Pradesh University. Binder Dev’s wife is a housewife and they also have two children. Binder has given the credit of his success to his teachers, family members and well-wishers.
Deployed for 6 years in the security of PM
Binder Dev has served for 6 years in the security of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He was a part of SPG for 6 years and has played an important role in the security of the Prime Minister in the country and abroad. Whenever Narendra Modi came to Himachal as Prime Minister, Binder Dev was deployed for his security most of the time.
