Mandi, August 19: A tragic road accident occurred in Chhamiar Panchayat of the Mandi district on Monday morning. One person died and the other was seriously injured in the accident. The deceased has been identified as Praveen Kumar, resident of village Bagh Chhamiar, district Mandi. While the cousin of the deceased has been injured in the accident. Both were working in a private company in Ambala, Haryana and both were returning to their home by car on the occasion of Rakshabandhan.
The incident happened when their car reached near Plassey Satsang Ghar. The car was being driven by the deceased Praveen Kumar. During this, the driver lost control of the vehicle. As a result, his car went out of control and fell into the drain. In this horrific accident, Praveen Kumar died on the spot, while Kiran Kumar was seriously injured. Hearing the sound of the accident, the people nearby immediately reached the spot and pulled both the brothers out of the car. They were immediately taken to Community Health Center Baldwara, where doctors declared Praveen Kumar dead. Kiran Kumar’s treatment is going on in the hospital.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot and registered a case after taking the body into custody. DSP Sanjeev Gautam confirmed the incident and said that the investigation of the case is going on.
