Mandi, August 2: Deputy Commissioner Mandi Apoorv Devgan said that the search operation to find the missing people in Terang village of Padhar continued for the third day as well. On Saturday, on the third day of the search operation going on in Terang village, the body of a woman has been recovered. Whose identity could not be ascertained. He said that a total of six bodies have been recovered so far. On the first day, three bodies were recovered, while on the second day the bodies of two children Aman (9) and Aryan (8) were recovered. Now a total of four people including two girls aged only 3 months and 11 years are missing. Efforts are being made to find them as well.
ADM Mandi Dr. Madan Kumar is present there on the second day of the accident and Acting SDM Padhar Dr. Bhavna Verma is present there continuously since the accident. Under whose supervision the search operation is going on continuously. He said that the personnel of NDRF, SDRF, Police, Fire and Home Guard are continuously trying to find the missing people.
Relief amount of Rs 4 lakh each released to the families of the deceased-
He said that on the instructions of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh, the entire administration is engaged in relief and rescue operations from the first day and all possible help is being given to the affected. He said that he himself went there on the day of the accident. He said that relief amount of Rs 4 lakh each has been released to the families of the five deceased. The affected families have been given ration, medical kits and tarpaulins. Arrangements for their stay have been made in an empty house in the village itself.
