Hamirpur, August 12: A sudden fire broke out in the meter and testing warehouse located in the Anu of the Electricity Board. The fire took a terrible form and many big blasts took place in the warehouse. After the blast, the police department and the traffic police banned the movement of vehicles on the Anu road. As soon as the information was received, the fire department vehicles reached the spot. At present, efforts are being made to extinguish the fire. Due to the fire incident, Hamirpur Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh, DSP Hamirpur and top officials of the electricity department reached the spot.
It is being told that about 80 electric transformers were installed in the warehouse which have been burnt to ashes. Along with this, the entire godown has also been almost completely damaged. DC Hamirpur Amarjeet Singh said that there has been a lot of damage due to the fire in the meter and testing warehouse of the Electricity Board.
He said that the fire department team has controlled the fire by reaching the spot. This fire is being prevented from spreading towards residential areas. Along with this, it was said that the cause of the fire is not yet known, but the board has suffered a lot of damage due to this fire.
