Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 14 :After the resignations of the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh were accepted, the ruling Congress and opposition BJP leaders have started attacking each other over the by-elections being conducted by the Election Commission on the three vacant assembly seats. The ruling Congress government is blaming the BJP for the by-elections, while the BJP is blaming the Congress’s misdeeds for the by-elections.
Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur has taken the ruling Congress government to task in the capital Shimla and said that the Sukhu government had started harassing the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh, due to which the three independent MLAs have decided to resign and come to the assembly by getting elected as BJP MLAs.
Jairam Thakur said that the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh were being forced to support the Sukhu government and in case of not supporting, the Sukhu government was threatening to kill the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh and their families.
He said that if the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania had accepted the resignations of the three independent MLAs of Himachal Pradesh earlier, by-elections would have been held along with the Lok Sabha elections, but the Sukhu government was afraid of falling from power.
Jairam said that BJP is going to win all the three seats in the by-elections and there is no ifs and buts in this.He said that CM Sukhu is only engaged in saving power and his chair. Law and order has failed in Himachal Pradesh, the missing head constable in Sirmaur district has not been traced yet.
The rape accused lodged in Sundarnagar police station of Mandi district commits suicide by consuming poison but CM Sukhu is making rounds from Shimla to Delhi and Delhi to Shimla every day just to save his chair.
He also said that Himachal Pradesh government should not violate its agreement regarding water crisis in Delhi. If Himachal Pradesh has water shortage or not then CM should present his side clearly. CM is neither presenting his side nor is able to work according to the agreement. CM should clarify the situation in the water crisis case.
Apart from this, the Leader of Opposition attacked Cabinet Minister Jagat Singh Negi on the CPS case and said that Jagat Singh Negi talks nonsense and that is why he is ridiculed by the world. He said that in the CPS case, the Supreme Court has already declared the appointments unconstitutional, it is expected that after the hearing, there will be justice in Himachal Pradesh too.
