Big Landslide Incident In Shimla Of Himachal Many Laborers Died –

A major landslide incident has occurred in Ashwani Khadd of Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. In the entire landslide, two laborers were buried under the landslide. With great difficulty the bodies of both the laborers were taken out. The bodies of both the laborers have been identified as Rakesh, aged thirty one, son of Vilas Ram, Bihar and Rajesh, aged forty, son of Jogendra Ram, resident of Bihar state. The bodies of both the laborers have been sent for post-mortem in 108 ambulance.

The investigation process of the case has been started by Shimla Police. In the entire landslide incident, five other laborers present at the spot Ashwani Khadd have been rescued. The entire landslide incident took place in front near Ashwani Khad under Chhota Shimla police station. According to Shimla Police, a massive landslide occurred from the hill near the crusher and many laborers present in the two-storey shed were affected by the landslide.

Due to the landslide that occurred around 1 am in the night, there was a stampede at the crusher site and two laborers from Bihar died on the spot due to being hit by sharp stones. Also five other laborers have saved their lives by running away.

Immediately after the landslide incident, Shimla district police and administration teams reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations with the help of local people.

Shimla District Police Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap along with all the officials of Shimla District Administration have inspected the entire incident on the spot.

The incident of complete landslide took place on Mehli-Junga road in front of Ashwani Khadd near Chhota Shimla police station in Shimla district.

According to Shimla Police, laborers living in a two-storey shed were trapped in the landslide due to a massive landslide from the hill near the crusher. The landslide incident, which occurred at around 1:00 am, caused a stampede at the crusher site.

Two laborers from Bihar have died on the spot due to being crushed under landslide debris and sharp stones.

Also, five other laborers on the site somehow saved their lives by running away.

As soon as the information about the landslide incident was received, with the help of local people, Shimla Police, Fire Brigade, SDRF and Home Guard teams reached the spot and after about an hour of hard work, took out the bodies of both the laborers from the debris and conducted post-mortem.

The five injured laborers have been identified as Rahul Kumar, aged eighteen years, Megh Sahni, aged forty-two years, Baijnath Ram, aged thirty-five years, Ashok Ram, aged forty-five years, resident of Bihar and Tony Kumar, aged twenty years, resident of Chamba district.

Shimla district administration has provided interim relief to both the deceased laborers and five injured laborers.

On the other hand, Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap reached the spot as soon as information about the landslide was received on Tuesday, Ashwani Khadd, and took stock of the relief and rescue operations.

Shimla Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap also talked to the five laborers who were safely evacuated from the Ashwani Khadd site and consoled them after the death of two of their colleagues in the accident and assured them of all possible help.
