The road from Udaipur to North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang has been restored for single lane four by four vehicles by 94 RCC of Border Roads Organization by afternoon on Friday.
Six machines have been deployed by 94 RCC of Border Roads Organization for the restoration of the entire route from Udaipur to the North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang.
In the entire snow removal campaign, junior engineers Shubham Singh and Vinay Kumar of 94 RCC were leading the entire front.
On the other hand, more than three dozen workers are busy repairing the entire road by cutting snow at slippery places as well as throwing soil from the roadway.
Lahaul’s direct connectivity with Kullu district was cut off after heavy snowfall on Tuesday evening.
But after noon on Friday, the road from Udaipur to the North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang has been restored for four by four vehicles by 94 RCC of Border Roads Organisation.
Due to heavy snowfall, tourists from all over the country and the world who have come to Lahaul Valley are feeling relieved with the opening of the entire road till North Portal.
Complete restoration work has been done by 94 RCC of Border Roads Organization in three sectors, Udaipur, Karga and Sissu, from Udaipur to the North Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang.
