Kullu : Police continues to search for missing people following heavy rains in Kullu-Manali and Mandi districts

Many people have gone missing after the heavy rains in Kullu, Manali and Mandi districts in the past days and to search for them, the police has launched an operation in the Pandhu dam and Beas river.

Yesterday also two police teams conducted a search operation from Pandhuh Dam to Hadogi and Bhakhri. Binoculars and other equipment have been provided to these teams.

Due to the fast flow of water, the search operation is not being done in the middle of the water, so the search is being done from the banks of the river itself. The team member told – I have come here in the search campaign. There are eleven people with me and those who have come from our team, half five six people who are in one side of the river, some people, half of the people who are in the other side of the river.

So we are conducting a search operation as per the orders of the District Deputy Commissioner from the last time, on the banks of the river, then after the flood, and due to heavy flood, some vehicles, some persons and some houses were washed away, so if we find any dead body etc. or any vehicle, then we will inform the local police about it.
