Kullu, July 28: Kullu district police has arrested a person on charges of opium smuggling.
According to the information, the team of Police Station Sainj searched a person during patrolling in Bhalan. On searching, 273 grams of opium was recovered from his possession. The police have seized the opium and registered a case against the person. The person arrested on charges of opium smuggling has been identified as Chhape Ram (35 years) son of Paine Ram resident of Joli Post Office Bhalan Tehsil Sainj District Kullu.
SP Kullu Karthikeyan Gokulchandran said that a case has been registered against the person under NDPS Act 18.
