Kullu News: Two youths from Punjab arrested with 40 grams of chitta smuggling at Volvo Bus Stand Manali
Kullu, July 27: Kullu district police has arrested two youths from Punjab on charges of Chitta smuggling. According to the information received, the police has taken action against drug smugglers in the tourist city of Manali. According to Kullu Police, the team of Manali Police Station searched two persons on suspicion during patrolling at Volvo Bus Stand Manali and recovered 40 grams of Chitta from them.
SP Kullu Karthikeyan Gokulchandran said that the youths arrested by Manali Police on charges of Chitta smuggling have been identified as Labh Singh (26 years) son of Charanjit Singh resident of Johlan Tehsil Raikot District Ludhiana (Punjab) and Ram Singh (29 years) son of Malkit Singh resident of village and post office Nihaluwal Tehsil and District Barnala (Punjab).
He said that 40 grams of Chitta has been recovered from both of them. Police have arrested both the youths and registered a case under section 21 of NDPS Act. Police is investigating from where the youth brought the drug.
