State level master badminton competition has started on Monday in the indoor stadium.
On the first day of this competition, singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches have been organized for the age group 35 to 50.
In the doubles final match of women’s 35 years age group, the pair of Dimple and Dr. Pinky Roy of Kullu won the title by defeating Harshita and Nisha of Kangra.
In the singles match, Pinky Roy of Kullu has made it to the final by defeating Reena Rathore of Kangra. The pair of Yogesh and Dimple have become winners in the mixed double final match of the same age group.
Kangra’s Gaurav and Colleen have won the mixed doubles match of 40 years age group.
In the singles matches of men’s 35 years age group, Puneet of Una defeated Manmohan Pathak of Solan, Dr. Mohit defeated Dharmendra, Komal of Mandi defeated Ajay of Kangra, Prakash of Shimla defeated Harry of Mandi, Pankaj Jaswal of Kangra defeated Ajay of Una, Itul of Chamba defeated Dr. Neeraj of Una, Prince of Solan defeated Anil of Bilaspur, In singles of 40 years age group, Yogesh Chauhan of Solan defeated Gaurav Chadha of Kangra, Shiv Dhiman defeated Sunil Kumar, Manish Rana of Kangra defeated Rajesh Thakur of Hamirpur, Arun Rawat of Solan defeated Niranjan of Kangra, Himanshu Parmar of Shimla defeated Dr. Gaurav, Dr. Kapil Kumar of Bilaspur has defeated Rajesh Bharti of Kangra, Rahul Arora of Mandi has defeated Deepak of Kullu.
In singles of 45 years age group, Rajesh Singh of Una defeated Vinod Kumar of Kangra, Hitendra Saini of Kangra defeated Sunil Kumar of Hamirpur, In singles of 50 years age group, Ravindra Thakur of Solan defeated Khajan Singh of Mandi, Rajneesh Kumar of Kangra defeated Sunil Thakur of Una,
In the 35 years age group, the pair of Komal and Dinesh of Mandi defeated Dr. Neeraj, Puneet, of Una. Dharmendra and Prince of Solan, Aman of Kangra, Karmadeep, Himanshu Parmar and Sunny Papata of Shimla have defeated Dr. Mohit and Dr. Nishant of Una.
In the 40 years age group, Suresh and Sushil Thakur of Hamirpur, Kunal, Prashant of Mandi, Amit, Vishal of Kangra, Hemdutt and Mohan of Solan, Manish Thakur of Mandi, Sunil Niranjan and Shukracharya of Kangra, Rishav, Pavnesh from Kangra have defeated Dr. Kapil and Sunil from Bilaspur.
In the 50 years age group, Kamlesh of Chamba, Sanjay defeated Khajan Singh of Mandi, Vinod, Vikram Choudhary, Vishwanath Malkotia of Kangra have defeated Harish and Manoj of Una.
Earlier, the competition was inaugurated by Mohindra Kumar, President of Himalayan Gaddi Union.

On the other hand, on the last day of the inter-departmental sports competition of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, matches of table tennis, chess, ludo, carrom board and kabaddi were played.
In table tennis men’s singles, Anshul of MBA department was the winner, Manas of B.Tech was the runner-up and Priyanshu of B.Tech was at the third position.
In the women’s singles category, Megha of MSc Environmental Science department stood first, Anjana of MBA stood second and Pallavi of MBA Tourism department stood third.
In the men’s singles category of Carrom Board, Rohit from MBA Tourism department has got first position, Rahul from MCA has got second position and Saurav from BHMCT has got third position.
Whereas, in the Carrom Board doubles, the team of Saurav of BHMCT and Rajat of MBA stood first, the team of Abhilash and Rohit of MBA Tourism Department stood second and the team of Vikas and Piyush of MBA Tourism stood third.
Whereas, the final match of Kabaddi was played between the team of MBA and MBA Tourism Department, in which MBA defeated the team of MBA Tourism Department by 47-33 points. The team of MCA department stood third in the Kabaddi competition.
