Kullu News: A Chaos Scam Of Five Lakhs In Sultanpur Post Office, Case Will Be Registered After Investigation
The entire case of embezzlement of an amount of Rs 5 lakh has come to light in the post office located at Sultanpur of Kullu District Administration Headquarters. The investigation process into the entire embezzlement case has been initiated and all the women employees posted at Sultanpur Post Office have been removed with immediate effect.
The entire case of embezzlement of an amount of Rs 5 lakh has come to light in the post office located at Sultanpur, Kullu District Administration Headquarters of Himachal Pradesh. A strict investigation process has been initiated into the entire embezzlement case and the women employees posted at Sultanpur Post Office have been removed with immediate effect. Himachal Pradesh Postal Department has also started the important task of checking the accounts of all the account holders by calling them with their passbooks. An amount of approximately Rs 5 lakh was found on Wednesday. There are full possibilities of the embezzled amount increasing further. It is also being told that apart from the savings account amount of the people in Sultanpur Post Office, the amount of many government schemes including Sukanya Yojana, RD has also been embezzled.

The entire matter came to light on January 12, when the deposit amount of Sultanpur Post Office was deposited. While depositing the amount, it was not matching with the records. Due to which when the calculations were done by the postal department officials, the amount was found to be less.
After that, the team of Himachal Pradesh Postal Department swung into action and all the women employees posted at Sultanpur Post Office have been removed with immediate effect.
The investigation process is being done by Himachal Pradesh Postal Department for two consecutive days.
Kullu District Postal Department Chief Postmaster Yadvendra Singh told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that till now a scam of Rs 5 lakh has come to light in the entire investigation process. A case is going to be registered with Kullu Police only after the investigation process of the entire case is completed.
