Kinnaur News : Boulders Fall On National Highway-505 Near Samdho Kinnaur

Rampur Bushahr- Due to the fall of sharp rocks on National Highway-505 located in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, the movement of all types of heavy vehicles has been completely stopped on both the roads. Due to which Kinnaur district has been completely cut off from Kaza and Lahaul-Spiti valley due to active falling of sharp rocks on National Highway 505.

Due to the fall of a large number of sharp rocks from the hill towards Samdho at a distance of four kilometers on the road ahead of Maling under Pooh section of Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh, National Highway 505 has been closed once again for movement of all types of vehicles by the Kinnaur district administration.

Movement of all types of vehicles stopped due to continuous falling of dozens of sharp rocks from Samdu hills on National Highway 505 in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh.

Kinnaur District Administration of Himachal Pradesh has closed National Highway 505 Samdho due to continuous active fall of sharp rocks from the hills due to bad weather conditions and hills on Samdho road on the four kilometer stretch ahead of Maling under Pooh section. The route has once again been closed by the Kinnaur district administration for all types of vehicular movement.

According to the order of Kinnaur District Administration, at around 9.15 pm on Monday late night, due to continuous active movement of sharp rocks from the hills of Samdho Marg on National Highway 505 Samdho Marg and extremely bad weather conditions, National Highway 505 Samdho Marg has been closed for all types of vehicular movement.

Taking the safest decision, Kinnaur district administration has taken an important decision to close National Highway 550 Samdho Road to avoid any kind of accident due to the fall of sharp rocks from Samdho Hill.

Due to the closure of National Highway 505 Samdho Road, the entire Kinnaur district has been completely cut off from Chango, Sumra and Shalkhar as well as Kaza and Lahaul-Spiti valley.

Due to the closure of National Highway 550 Samdho Marg, thousands of heavy vehicles, passengers and local people are facing a lot of troubles and problems every day.

On the other hand, teams of Border Roads Organization (BRO) have deployed cranes and laborers to block National Highway 505.

Also, OC Border Roads Organization (BRO) Samdho Raj Kumar Prakash told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that three crane machines of BRO along with more than twenty laborers will be immediately deployed to block National Highway 505 Samdho Marg. It has been imposed to ensure smooth traffic flow. Due to which the movement of all types of vehicles on National Highway 505 Samdho Marg will be resumed as soon as possible for all types of vehicular movement.
