Kangra: Prime Minister Modi Laid The Foundation Stone For Redevelopment Of Baijnath-Paprola Railway Station

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has virtually inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of redevelopment of 554 stations and 1585 road overbridges and underpasses across the country under the Amrit Bharat Yojana. Baijnath Paprola station, a road overbridge and underpass are also included in these projects. During this period, Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla was especially present in Baijnath Paprola. The Governor said that for development works, 90 percent of the money has to be spent by the central government and 10 percent by the state. Governments should ensure that there is no delay in development work and that the work is done on time and with quality.

This builds the credibility of the governments and provides facilities to the public. The Governor said that Prime Minister Modi is completely determined in this matter. He said that religious tourism is contributing significantly to the country’s GDP. He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for laying the foundation stone of these projects for the state. The Governor said that Kalka-Shimla is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The work of redevelopment of Shimla station under this is going on at a fast pace. Redevelopment of railway stations includes development of circulating areas with landscape, separate entry and exit gates, separate parking facilities for two-wheelers, four-wheelers and auto rickshaws and entry halls of adequate area as per passenger capacity is going to be constructed.

The Governor said that a record amount of Rs 2081 crore has been allocated to Himachal Pradesh in the Union Railway Budget. On this occasion, MP Kishan Kapoor, Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, Chief Parliamentary Secretary Kishori Lal, former MLA Mulk Raj Premi, Assistant Divisional Railway Manager RK Kalra, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa, Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri including district administration, railway officials and other dignitaries were present.
