Kangra News: Dangal Started With Worship In Dhummu Shah Fair.
Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Bilaspur, April 11: Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that preservation of the ancient form of traditional fairs of Kangra district will be ensured so that the young generation can be made aware of the ancient traditions.
On the second day of Dhummu Shah Fair in Dadi, after inaugurating the Dangal with worship at Bharari Temple, Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that Dhummu Shah Fair is an ancient fair associated with the beliefs of the people and to maintain the form of this fair, Effective steps will be taken and this fair will be given a more grand look in the coming year.

Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that wrestling in India started as an exercise, but it has emerged as a professional sport, which is bringing India fame at the international level. He said that sports play an important role in keeping life healthy and the young generation should actively participate in it.

The Deputy Commissioner said that to promote sports as well as cultural activities, various forms of folk art will be promoted through the District Cultural Council.
Earlier, Fair officer SDM Sanjeev Bhot, while welcoming the chief guest, while giving detailed information about organizing the Dhummu Shah fair, said that participation of the general public is being ensured in organizing the fair. On this occasion, famous wrestlers from Punjab, Haryana and other states including Himachal showed their talent.
On this occasion, Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Surendra Kumar, Tehsildar Giriraj and various dignitaries were present.
