Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times,  Jawali (Kangra), March 19: 38-year-old Pankaj Jamwal, working as an engineer in the Merchant Navy of Panchayat Chalwara of Jawali sub-division of Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, died due to drowning in the sea.

The news of the sudden death of Pankaj Jamwal, who was working as an engineer in the Merchant Navy, has sent a wave of mourning across the entire Chalwara Panchayat.

Let us tell you that Pankaj Janwal son of Karnail Singh was working as an engineer in the Merchant Navy.

Pankaj Janwal was serving in the Ambuja Cement ship going from Jakho to Surat. On March 13, the officials of the Ambuja Shakti ship had informed the family about the disappearance of Pankaj Janwal.

On March 14, Pankaj Janwal body was recovered from the sea near Porbandar with the help of the Coast Guard, other ships and a helicopter.

Pankaj Janwal body was to be sent home from Mumbai, but due to some reasons the last rites were performed in Mumbai on March 18 in the presence of family members.

On March 19, the bereaved family reached home with the ashes.

Various investigating agencies are investigating the cause of Pankaj Janwal sudden death, but reason is not known yet.
