A youth has died after being hit by a Jammu Mail train last night near railway gate Kandrori under Damtal police station in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.

On the other hand, the team of police post Kandrori, which reached the spot, took action under section 174 of CrPC and sent the body of the deceased youth to Civil Hospital Noorpur for post-mortem.

The deceased youth has been identified as Lakshya Gupta (21), son of late Ashok Kumar, village and post office Kandrori tehsil Indora district Kangra.

The entire matter has been confirmed to Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma by Railway Police officer Vikram.
