Gaggal Airport Expansion: 19 Government Institutions Will Also Be Destroyed, Maximum Eight Institutions In JD In Jhikli Ichchi Panchayat
Kangra District Administration has prepared a complete plan for rehabilitation and resettlement for the expansion of Gaggal Airport. The Rehabilitation and Resettlement Scheme has been shared by the Kangra District Administration on Tuesday with the heads of all the Panchayats falling under the jurisdiction of Gaggal Airport.

Due to the proposed expansion of Gagal Airport, maximum eight government institutions from Jhikli Ichchi Gram Panchayat are going to come under JD. Apart from the eight government institutions, there is a demand to completely end the existence of government institutions from Kathuma, Gagal, Sanora as well as Rachhiyalu Panchayats. The plan has been prepared. On Tuesday, a complete meeting was organized by Kangra District Administration with the heads of all the Panchayats affected by Gaggal Airport regarding the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) plan regarding all the institutions coming under the jurisdiction of expansion of Gaggal Airport.

Kangra District Administration has prepared a plan for Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) for the expansion of Gaggal Airport. The Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) plan has been shared by the Kangra district administration on Tuesday with the heads of all the panchayats falling under the JD of Gaggal Airport. Under the Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) plan issued by the Kangra District Administration, maximum eight government institutions in Jhikli Ichchi Panchayat are going to be affected by the expansion of Gaggal Airport.
As part of the expansion of Gaggal Airport, Panchayat Bhawan, Kisan Bhawan, PHC, Primary and Senior Secondary School, Ichhi Cooperative Marketing and Consumer Society, Amit Memorial Club and Guru Ravidas Bhawan have been included in the JD of Jhikli Ichhi Panchayat.
On the other hand, Kathua Panchayat’s Mahila Mandal Bhawan, school, fish pond, veterinary dispensary, PWD store as well as Patwar Ghar are coming under the influence of the expansion of Gaggal Airport.
Apart from this, Patwar Ghar, School, Anganwadi Center-2, Police Station and Ayurvedic Dispensary are also included from Gaggal Panchayat, while two wells from Rachhiyalu Panchayat and Senior Secondary School from Sanora Panchayat are going to come under the jurisdiction of Gaggal Airport.
Gagal Panchayat head Renu Pathania told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that a meeting was organized with Kangra district administration on Tuesday. Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R&R) has been shared with all the Panchayats in the important meeting.
