PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has come into limelight after performing Jalabhishekam of Shivling. Mehbooba had reached the Navagraha temple in Poonch on Tuesday. She went around the entire temple and offered water to the Shivling. He also offered flowers to the idol of Yashpal Sharma built in the temple.

The BJP has called Mehbooba’s visit to the temple a drama. The party said that Mehbooba had once refused to give land for Amarnath Dham. Earlier, Mehbooba Mufti had also visited the Kheer Bhavani temple in Ganderbal in 2017. Then she was the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Nothing will be achieved by this drama – BJP

Jammu and Kashmir BJP spokesperson Ranbir Singh Pathania said that in 2008 Mehbooba Mufti and her party had opposed the allotment of land for Amarnath Dham. Residences were to be built on this land for the devotees. Now his going to the temple is just a drama. They will not gain anything from this. If anything had been achieved through political dramas, Jammu and Kashmir would have become a garden of prosperity today.
