Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 16: Revenue and Horticulture Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government, Jagat Singh Negi and Deputy Chief Whip in Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Kewal Singh Pathania, have accused the BJP and said that Bharatiya Janata Party has only insulted the women of Himachal Pradesh by stopping the amount of Rs. 1500 from Sukhu government’s ambitious Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Jagat Singh Negi and Kewal Singh Pathania said that Bharatiya Janata Party only pretends to be women-friendly in front of women whereas the truth is that the opposition party BJP is completely against the women power of Himachal Pradesh. Both the leaders said that Bharatiya Janata Party does nothing for women except taking votes in elections.
Jagat Singh Negi and Kewal Singh Pathania made serious allegations against the BJP and said that even if the ban imposed by the Bharatiya Janata Party through the Election Commission on giving Rs. 1500 to the women of Himachal Pradesh is not removed by the Election Commission, then Also in the month of June, the Sukhu government will deposit the entire amount of Rs 4500 for three months in the accounts of eligible women.
Both the leaders said that this statement given by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu recently in Galod of his Nadaun assembly constituency is welcome by the women of Himachal Pradesh.
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party can oppose as much as they wants to stop the amount of Rs 1500 given to the women of Himachal Pradesh, but the women of Himachal Pradesh will continue to receive the amount of Rs 1500 from April 2024.
Jagat Singh Negi and Kewal Singh Pathania said that the first monthly installment of Rs 1500 has reached the bank accounts of all the eligible women of Lahaul and Spiti district of Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Both the leaders said that the eligible women of all other districts of Himachal Pradesh were also going to get the benefits of Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Scheme from April 1, 2024. Apart from this, the Sukhu government has also approved a budget amount of Rs 800 crore in the cabinet meeting to implement Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana in the entire Himachal Pradesh.
He said that the notification to implement Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana in the entire Himachal Pradesh from April 1 has been issued by the Himachal Pradesh Government. Despite this, the Bharatiya Janata Party has approached the Election Commission and got the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana banned.

He said that through this ambitious scheme of Sukhu Government of Himachal Pradesh, women are going to get Rs 18000 annually, which is going to help the women of the state to become self-reliant.
