Issue of death due to snake bite raised in the assembly, matter raised under attention motion
Shimla, August 28: On the second day of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, under Rule 62 attention motion in the House, Kangra Shahpur MLA and Deputy Whip Kewal Singh Pathania raised the issue of death of two people due to snake bite in Shahpur. Demanded to notify the death due to snake bite. Also demanded from the government to make anti snake venom injection available in every PHC and 108 in case of snake bite.
Health Minister Colonel Dhani Ram Shandil said in response that the government will ensure the availability of anti snake venom injection in every PHC and injection will also be made available in 108 ambulances. So that the person can get timely treatment in case of snake bite.
Kewal Singh Pathania said that the government has notified the death due to snake bite and has also assured in the House to give compensation of Rs 4 lakh, which will be a big relief for the people of the state. The injection for snake bite is manufactured in Tamil Nadu. Hence, a demand has been made to the government to build a snake park in Kangra and manufacture the injection in the state itself.
