Amavasya is expected to begin at 3:55 pm on October 31 and last till 6:15 pm on November 1.

Meanwhile, a report in Business Standard states that according to over 150 scholars, this year Diwali will be celebrated on November 1. The decision was announced after a meeting in Indore, where hundreds of priests and experts gathered to determine the most suitable date for this year’s celebration.
The Amavasya date for Diwali 2024 will begin at 3:52 pm on October 31 and end at 6:16 pm on November 1. People can celebrate the festival on both days and this year the celebrations will last for six days.
