Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh- Samman Nidhi Scheme: CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released Rs 3.27 crore to 7,280 women of Una district

Shimla, June 19: Honourable Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu released Rs 3.27 crore as Samman Nidhi of Rs 4500 each for three months to 7,280 women under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana at the main function held at Kangar Ground in Haroli Assembly Constituency of Una district.During this, CM Sukhu also distributed cheques to the beneficiary women.

CM Sukhu said that till now more than 48 thousand women aged 18 to 59 years in Himachal Pradesh have been released Rs 4500 each as Samman Nidhi for three months. CM said that the Himachal government has made a provision of a budget of Rs 23 crore under the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi scheme. The CM said that the BJP was constantly misleading the women of Himachal Pradesh about the Indira Gandhi Pyari Behna Sukh-Samman Nidhi Yojana and creating hurdles in its implementation.

CM Sukhu said that opposition leader Jai Ram Thakur used to ask repeatedly when women would get Rs 1500, but our government closed the backdoor of corruption and provided Samman Nidhi to women.

The CM said that the central government is providing Rs 6,000 per year to the farmers of the country, while the Congress government of Himachal Pradesh is providing Rs 18,000 per year to all eligible women above the age of 18 years, so that they live with self-respect and do not depend on others for their expenses.

The CM said that the Himachal Pradesh government will ensure to provide Rs 1500 to all eligible women every month. The CM said that the Congress government never does politics by looking at the elections, but public service is our only aim.

The CM announced to increase the GNM seats from 40 to 60 in Himcaps Law and Nursing College Badhera. He also announced to give Rs 50 lakh each for the improvement of Dulahad Park and Beaton Ground. Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri thanked CM Sukhu for the developmental announcements in Haroli assembly constituency.

Remembering Mukesh Agnihotri’s late wife Dr. Simmi Agnihotri, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that she was his classmate in HPU, I have personally suffered a loss due to her untimely demise.

The CM said that the families of all the people associated with political life are engaged in social service. Dr. Simmi Agnihotri has always raised the voice of women and providing Samman Nidhi of Rs 1500 to women is a true tribute to her from the Congress government.

Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. (Colonel) Dhani Ram Shandil said that CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has been making continuous efforts for women empowerment since the first day of coming to power.

After taking oath, CM first went to Balika Ashram Tutikandi and made a law to adopt orphan children as Children of the State and gave the responsibility of their care to the Himachal Government and started the Chief Minister Sukh-Aashray Yojana to provide education and care to 4000 children.

On this occasion, MLA Sudarshan Bablu, Una District Congress President Ranjeet Rana, Block Congress President Vinod Bittu, Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal and other dignitaries were present.
