Ind vs Australia 1st Test Match Preview, Kohli and Rohit at odds
Tensions are increasing among senior players in the Indian ODI team, and the administrators of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) are attempting to resolve the issue by having a senior player post positive messages about team unity on social media. A senior administrator stated that a member of the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA) spoke with a player and suggested writing a message on social media that the team environment is “good”.
CEO Rahul Johri is scheduled to travel to the US next week to address the increasing tensions among senior players in the Indian ODI team. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) claims the rift is media-generated, a BCCI source stated that the CEO will meet with both parties to resolve the issue.
Additionally, head coach Ravi Shastri is expected to emphasize the importance of a positive team atmosphere. The Indian team is departing for the US on Monday night for two T20I games against West Indies, followed by the rest of the tour in the Caribbean. Coach Shastri will join the team a couple of days later.
