While the budding sportspersons of Una district are making a name for themselves on the state, national and international stage in many sports, there are many sports in which sports talents seem to be dying due to lack of coaches.

Similar is the condition of the judo wing in the District Youth Services and Sports Department, in which the last nine players are leaving the game due to non-availability of coaches. Judo player Mayank said that judo is such a game that without a coach no one can do it. There can be no preparation.

He has appealed to the state government to appoint a judo coach, so that he and his other fellow players can bring glory to the state by joining this game.

The player told – earlier there used to be a maximum of eighteen children here. At present, I am the only one living here, because there is no coach, so I am not getting proper training, so I am facing a lot of problems. Like technique etc. Because it is very important to have a coach in our game, because he teaches you new skills etc., so it is not easy for any player. Many children come for training, our seniors are currently conducting practice. We do not have a coach for the last nine months. So we want that a coach should be provided to us as soon as possible.

District Judo Association general secretary Vinay Sharma said that every year the district team has been performing brilliantly at the state level, but due to the absence of a judo coach for the last nine months, only one player is left in the hostel. Have kept, letters have also been sent that appointment of judo coach is necessary. Governments are giving extension to such people in a hurry, judo coach was just retired, he was ready to work even without financial benefits, but even then a request from you Letter will not be made, children should have some future

And I believe that the way the condition of the hostel is now, I went to the hostel this morning itself. Only one child of judo was in the hostel. Nothing is there, the hostel is empty, so it is a blow to the business of Una, the number of children has decreased. If there is, then they take things from Una only and everything and Una’s game is also being pushed.

On the other hand, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Chandramohan Sharma said that higher officials have been informed in this context. He told that at present only senior judo players are imparting training to new players. He said that most of these players are employed. Or have gone to other places due to education, due to which new players are not getting proper training.
