Gaurav Thakur of Churah sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh became a lieutenant in the Indian Army on Saturday. Gaurav Thakur of Churah sub-division passed out and became a lieutenant after attending the passing out parade from the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun on Saturday. On the other hand, the parents of Gaurav Thakur of Churah sub-division, who saw stars decorated on both his shoulders, could not contain their joy and became emotional. Gaurav Thakur of Dikriund village of Bhanjaradu Gram Panchayat of Churah sub-division of Chamba district has achieved the post of Lieutenant by becoming an officer on the basis of his hard work and diligence on Saturday. Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur of Churah sub-division of Chamba district told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that he completed his primary school education from Government Senior Secondary School, Tissa. Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur’s mother, Mrs. Neena Thakur has just retired from the important post of Block Elementary Education Officer under Himachal Pradesh Higher Education Department. On the other hand, Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur’s father Bhag Singh Thakur has just retired from the important post of Chief Principal of Government Senior Secondary School, Tissa.

Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur of Churah sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh has received engineering education from Delhi. From June 2018 to January 2019, Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur served as Assistant Technical Officer in Air Asia. Along with this, in the month of January 2021, he has also provided his services as Drone Pilot Instructor from Indira Gandhi National Flight Academy, Haryana. In the month of December 2021, Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur also appeared in the examination for Technical Graduate Course 135 and secured first position in the whole of India. Also, now Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur has made the entire Dikriund village proud by becoming a Lieutenant by passing the toughest training from the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. Lieutenant Gaurav Thakur has given the credit for his entire success to his mother Mrs. Neena Thakur, father Bhag Singh Thakur, Lieutenant General Pankaj Kaushal as well as Commander Rajan of TGC Coaching Academy Dooru.
