HRTC will soon buy 250 new diesel buses and 50 tempo travellers after removing old buses from its fleet
Shimla, June 28: Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is going to remove old buses from its fleet and soon buy 250 new diesel buses and 50 tempo travellers, on which the Himachal Pradesh government will spend a total of Rs 105 crore. HRTC is going to add 24 new super luxury buses and 50 tempo travellers to its fleet in the year 2024. Let us tell you that 50 tempo travellers are going to replace the old buses running for many years in the remote and tribal areas of Himachal Pradesh.

It is worth noting that the HRTC management has invited tenders on June 15 for the purchase of Type 1 and Type III electric buses.
HRTC has decided to reward three Conductors at the divisional level on a quarterly basis to encourage Conductors to allow passengers to pay fares through cashless mode inside the buses. This scheme will remain in force till 31st December 2024.
HRTC has paid medical reimbursement of Rs 55.36 lakh to salary earners and pensioners after 18 January 2024 to corporation employees.
