A wave of mourning has spread in Rawat village of Jubbal tehsil of Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh and Tadi village of Naina Devi in Bilaspur district.
The Rohru depot of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation also put in all its efforts to give their last rites after losing its two heroes. The bodies of the driver and conductor were taken to their villages Rawat and Tadi in separate HRTC buses.
Let us inform you that earlier also Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation, as a mark of respect, had been sending the deceased driver or conductor to their homes in HRTC buses after death in accidents, but this time as a mark of homage, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation has decorated the HRTC buses with flowers and also put up pictures of driver Karmadas and conductor Rakesh Kumar on the front mirror and garlanded them.

Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation transported the body of driver Karmadas to Rawat village in a decorated HRTC bus and the body of conductor Rakesh Kumar was also transported to Tandi village of Naina Devi in a decorated HRTC bus.
On Friday, at 6:35 am, the HRTC bus number (HP10A-4617) which was on its route met with a horrific accident while travelling towards Giltadi area. Just three kilometers away from the house of driver Karmdas, the HRTC bus went out of control and fell 100 meters down on another road.
As luck would have it, the railing caught the HRTC bus and prevented it from sliding down into the terrifyingly deep gorge and from sinking into the river. This saved the lives of two people but the journey became a painful one as the driver Karma Das and conductor Rakesh Kumar of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), who had the trust of its passengers all over the country for years, died on the way to the hospital.
The Shimla district administration provided Rs 25,000 each to the families of the four people who died in the accident as immediate relief and also paid tribute to the death of the driver and conductor and prayed to God to give strength to the bereaved families in this sad hour.
