Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, March 06: Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation is soon going to launch cashless facility for payment of fare in HRTC buses. Through the cashless payment facility, passengers can pay the fare inside HRTC buses in addition to cash, through credit/debit/UPI/NCMC cards.

HRTC Managing Director Rohan Chand Thakur said that an agreement has been signed between Himachal Road Transport Corporation and State Bank of India for the facility of cashless payment. The facility of cashless payment in ticketing machines inside HRTC buses is going to be accepted through State Bank of India in the first phase through credit cards, debit cards and UPI. In the first phase, cashless payment facility is going to be started in Shimla local depot. After the first phase, cashless payment facility is going to be started in a phased manner at all places in Himachal Pradesh.

With the facility of cashless payment, all the passengers traveling in HRTC buses will get this benefit –

Along with the facility of cashless payment, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation is also going to start issuing travel tickets to free passengers at zero fare. With the start of issuing travel tickets at zero fare, the concessions being given by Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation will be able to be assessed.
