Many foreign universities do not recognize 3-year undergraduate degree courses. Because of this, students doing 3-year degree courses in Indian universities do not get the opportunity to pursue higher education abroad. For this reason, with the aim of promoting research work in the country, 4-year undergraduate degree courses are being started again under the draft of the proposed new education policy under the UGC.
