In such a situation, the biggest challenge is to get the results on time. Every time the results of the students get delayed. In HPU, the work of one employee is for the head of four employees. The work of checking and evaluating a paper depends on the teachers. That means if we talk about entire colleges, there is one teacher for every 10 students. In such a situation, all the educational work has to be completed in two to three months. This includes both teaching and non-teaching staff. May and June are two peak months in the examination branch. During these two months, maximum work remains in the examination wing. In such a situation, if employees go for election duty then the entire work will be affected.

JCC of employees requested for consideration –
Meanwhile, the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of non-teaching employees of Himachal Pradesh University has urged to reconsider the imposition of election duty on the university employees.
JCC officials say that for the last several years, the services of university employees are being continuously taken for electoral duties including voter registration, correction of voter list, due to which there are a lot of problems in the execution of work in various departments and branches of the university. This is also putting additional workload on the employees.
Federation President Rajesh Thakur and other officials said that going on election duty will affect the functioning of the university. JCC demands that the election duty of the university employees should be cancelled.
On behalf of the examination branch of HPU, it has been given in writing to the VC that at least the employees should be put on election duty and employees should not be sent from the examination branch at all.
