The proceedings of the ninth day of Himachal Pradesh Assembly budget session are going on. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the Pong Dam sanctuary area has not yet been declared an eco-sensitive zone. Industry Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that Rs 2000 crore is awaited from the Center for Jal Jeevan Mission.

Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan has said that water connections have been given to 17 lakh 9000 people in Himachal Pradesh. There are many houses in Himachal Pradesh which have not been given water connections. These schemes will be completed when Rs 2000 crore comes from the Centre. The department will soon fulfill the shortage of half-inch and quarter-inch pipes. BJP MLAs Randhir Sharma, Vipin Singh Parmar, Dalip Thakur and Sukhram Chaudhary had sought information about approval of various schemes, expenditure of funds and tap connections under the Jal Jeevan Mission.

Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that the Pong Dam sanctuary area has not yet been declared an eco-sensitive zone. First the wildlife century will be determined. After discussing the issues of all the areas of Dehra, Fatehpur, Jwali, it will be taken forward. CM Sukhu said that instructions were given to the department to allow farming here. In response to the question of Dehra MLA Hoshyar Singh, Chief Minister Sukhu gave this answer in the Assembly House on Friday.
