Due to the winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, guidelines have been issued by the Himachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher and Elementary Education to ban all holidays and tours from December 13 to December 23. In view of the five-day winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly starting from December 19 in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher and Elementary Education has issued guidelines on Wednesday to ban all proposed holidays and tours. As per all the departmental orders of Himachal Pradesh, officers and all the employees working in their departments can be called on Sundays as well as during other holidays due to the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly. The Directorate of Higher and Elementary Education of Himachal Pradesh has also issued a notification to answer all the questions related to Himachal Pradesh Education Department in the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly as soon as possible.
Himachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher and Elementary Education has issued orders to all Himachal Pradesh Education Department officials stating that the direction has been given to timely prepare answers to all the questions related to Himachal Pradesh Education Department during the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly. Every kind of information should be available with the officials of Himachal Pradesh Education Department. Besides, it has also been said by Himachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher and Elementary Education that at least one officer in every branch of Himachal Pradesh Education Department should be present in the office at 8.30 am during the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly. Notification has been issued to all the officers to remain present in their respective offices even after 5 pm in the evening.

Himachal Pradesh Directorate of Higher and Elementary Education has been issued Notification to cancel the leave of Additional Director Administration, Colleges, Schools Higher Education, Joint Director Colleges, Joint Director Finance and Accounts, Joint Director, All Deputy Directors of Himachal Pradesh Higher Education Department, Principals of all Government Colleges, NCC Commanders along with Chief Librarian State Library District Solan, Himachal Pradesh Elementary Education Department and all the Deputy Directors and Principal Diet holidays. Leaves and tours of all the staff working under the authorities of Himachal Pradesh Education Department have also been cancelled.

Industries and Parliamentary Affairs Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government, Harsh Vardhan Chauhan told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the wait for high level security arrangements has been made more stringent for the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly to be held in Tapovan, Dharamshala. Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that just as there was a major lapse regarding security arrangements in the Parliament of India, similar major lapse will not be allowed to happen in the winter session of Himachal Pradesh Assembly. Also, Industry Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that the lapse in the security arrangements of Parliament for the second time is a very serious matter. The Central Government has provided disaster relief amount of Rs 633.73 crore to Himachal Pradesh. Along with this, Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan has expressed special gratitude for the special help given by the Central Government. However, Industries Minister Harsh Vardhan Chauhan said that Himachal Pradesh is in dire need of approval of a special relief package by the Central Government.
