State General Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Private Bus Drivers-Operators Union, Akhil Gupta, told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that on Wednesday, January 3, in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, against the complete amendment made by the Narendra Modi government in the Hit and Run Act. An important decision has been taken to completely stop the operation of private buses. On the other hand, as a precautionary measure, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has also issued instructions to all divisional managers of Himachal Pradesh to spend the remaining diesel as per requirement. To avoid diesel shortage, Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) has clubbed the routes of HRTC buses from today.
Long queues of vehicles at petrol pumps in Himachal Pradesh, heavy traffic jam in Shimla city –
Long queues of vehicles have formed at all the petrol pumps in Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh. To fill petrol and diesel, people have to stand in long queues for four-five hours. Due to which, problem of heavy traffic jam has arisen on all the roads of entire Shimla city.
