Himachal Pradesh’s first space lab has been inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani on Friday in the Government Senior Secondary School under Ghumarwin sub-division of Bilaspur district.

Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the Himachal Pradesh Space Lab, built at a cost of Rs 10 lakh, is the first space lab of its kind developed in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

Also, Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that Himachal Pradesh’s first state-of-the-art space lab has been constructed to encourage space science thinking among the students of rural areas of Himachal Pradesh.

Rajesh Dharmani said that through Himachal Pradesh’s first state-of-the-art space lab, more and more information about space science is going to be made available to all the school students.

Apart from this, Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that in Government Senior Secondary School Ghumarwin, school students from Bilaspur district as well as other districts of Himachal Pradesh will come to the state-of-the-art space lab and learn about various aspects of space science like satellite launcher system, drones. Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has also inspected the space stalls installed by all the students of Government Senior Secondary School. Also, while inspecting the space stalls, Rajesh Dharmani did sun gazing through sun telescope and Enjoyed the whole event.

On the occasion of inspection of all the space stalls, the black spot on the Sun was also shown to Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani through a telescope by the students of Government Senior Secondary School.

Apart from this, stalls were set up by the students of Government Senior Secondary School with detailed information about drone making technology, models made from 3D printing, robotic technology, nano satellites, all the programs of Gaganyaan, Chandrayaan, PSLV.

Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that the first state-of-the-art Space Lab of Himachal Pradesh has been established under the guidance of Bilaspur District Deputy Commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq and Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Patel.

Rajesh Dharmani also said that Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Patel has made a special contribution in setting up the first state-of-the-art space lab of Himachal Pradesh.

Bilaspur District Additional Deputy Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Patel has devoted a lot of her time to establish the first state-of-the-art space lab of Himachal Pradesh so that the school children of Bilaspur district can get information about space science and increase children’s interest in science and technology.

Technical Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh Government, Rajesh Dharmani said that soon a science fair will be organized in Ghumarwin assembly constituency of Bilaspur district with the cooperation of Himachal Pradesh Government and Bilaspur District Administration.

Rajesh Dharmani said that various programs are going to be organized in the science fair to increase interest in space science and science and technology among the children of all other schools of Bilaspur district.

Himachal Pradesh Government’s Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani said that apart from the science fair, scientists from ISRO will also be made to visit the first space lab of Himachal Pradesh so that the children of rural areas of Himachal Pradesh can answer their curiosities about space science by answering questions. children can easily satisfy their curiosities.

Rajesh Dharmani, Technical Education Minister, Government of Himachal Pradesh, said that in the first phase, 10 students of Ghumarwin Boys School will be trained at ISRO Center and Satish Dhawan Space Research Center in Sriharikota to learn about space science and various programs of Chandrayaan Gaganyaan and PSLV till the process of construction and launching. Exposure visits are also going to be conducted to make them face to face process from construction to launching.
