Dharamshala, 03 October: Vanshika Goswami, daughter of Jawalamukhi of Himachal Pradesh, has brought laurels to India by winning the gold medal in the 80 kg category in the Under-19 World Boxing Championship. In this prestigious competition held in Colorado, USA, Vanshika defeated the German champion with her unique skill and courage.
With this victory of Vanshika, there is an atmosphere of joy and pride not only in her family but in the whole of Himachal Pradesh and India. There is a wave of celebration especially in the Himachal Police Department because Vanshika’s father is an officer in the Himachal Police.
