IMD Shimla has expressed all the possibilities of change in weather from Tuesday night in the plains, central areas and high mountain areas of Himachal Pradesh.

According to Meteorological Center Shimla, the Western Disturbance will become fully active in the entire state from midnight on Tuesday.

Due to the effect of active Western Disturbance in Himachal Pradesh, heavy rains in many parts of central hill and high hill districts of Chamba, Kullu, Mandi, Shimla, Kangra, Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and Sirmaur on 31 January and 1 February. An orange alert of heavy snowfall has been issued by IMD Shimla.

Heavy rain has also been predicted in the plains and low lying areas of Himachal Pradesh by IMD Shimla.

Apart from this, yellow alert of thunderstorm and lightning has also been issued by IMD Shimla in many plain parts of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday night.

However, on February 2, IMD Shimla has predicted clear weather in all the places except one to two places in the high hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh.

But, the possibility of second western disturbance becoming active in Himachal Pradesh on February 3 is also being expressed by IMD Shimla.

Due to the activation of the second Western Disturbance in Himachal Pradesh, IMD Shimla has predicted that heavy rains and snowfall will continue in many parts of Himachal Pradesh till 4th February.

Also, on February 5, heavy rain and snowfall at only one to two places in the high hilly areas of Himachal Pradesh has been predicted by IMD Shimla.

IMD Shimla has predicted the average maximum temperature to be much lower than normal during heavy rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh.

While the minimum temperature is also likely to be below normal, IMD Shimla is predicting.

Meteorologist Sandeep Sharma of Meteorological Center, Shimla told Diary Times correspondent Kumud Sharma that the maximum temperature of Himachal Pradesh is expected to drop by four to five degrees Celsius.

IMD Shimla meteorologist Sandeep Sharma said that in the month of January, minus 100 percent rain and snowfall has been recorded in the entire Himachal Pradesh.

In Himachal Pradesh, from January 1 to January 30, 100 percent less rainfall than normal has been recorded by IMD Shimla.

Eight districts of Himachal Pradesh, Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kangra, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmaur, Solan and Una have received 100 percent less cloud cover than normal.

On the other hand, in Himachal Pradesh’s capital Shimla, Lahaul-Spiti, Kullu and Chamba districts, 99 percent less rainfall than normal has been recorded by IMD Shimla.
