Himachal Weather Update: Cold Wave After Snowfall, Minimum Temperature At Nine Places In Minus, 300 Roads Still Closed

After snowfall, many areas of Himachal Pradesh have been hit by cold wave. The minimum temperature has been recorded at minus nine places in the state. The minimum temperature in Kukumseri has dropped to -14.8 degrees Celsius. Yellow alert of cold wave has been issued by IMD Shimla for today and tomorrow in the lower and plain areas of the state. According to Meteorological Center Shimla, the weather has been predicted to remain bad in some high mountain areas till February 29.

Due to the activity of western disturbance in the state, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in many parts of the state on 26 and 27 February.

Today the weather remains clear in the capital Shimla and other parts. On the other hand, more than 300 roads in the state are still closed for traffic due to snowfall in the past few days. At the same time, 162 power transformers and 11 drinking water supply schemes are still disrupted.

Minimum temperature of Shimla 1.2, Sundernagar 1.6, Bhuntar 0.1, Kalpa -5.0, Dharamshala 5.2, Una 3.2, Nahan 6.1, Palampur 2.5, Solan 0.7, Manali -1.9, Kangra 4.2, Mandi 2.1, Bilaspur 3.5, Chamba 2.6, Dalhousie 2.0, Jubbarhatti 4.4, Kufri -1.2, Kukumseri -14.8, Narkanda -3.7, Bharmour -2.5, Rekong Peo -1.5, Seubag -1.0, Dhaulakuan 4.8, Barthin 1.9, Samdo -8.9, Paonta Sahib 10.0, Sarahan 0.0 and Dehragopipur 6.0 degrees Celsius recorded by IMD Shimla.
