Due to changing weather patterns, heavy rains continue to wreak havoc in many hilly and high mountain districts of the state. Due to heavy rain, snowfall is also occurring in many areas. The entire life has been disrupted due to heavy rain and snowfall. Heavy snowfall continues in the higher reaches of the state and rain continues to wreak havoc in the lower areas.

Wheat crop has suffered huge damage due to heavy rains and strong winds in Una district of Himachal Pradesh. The flourishing wheat crop in the plains of the district has been ruined within a few hours due to heavy rains and strong winds. Farmers and gardeners waiting for rain in Una district are facing huge losses instead of relief. The concerns of farmers have increased due to bad weather and strong winds in the district and due to change in weather, winter has also returned in the hilly areas.

Normal life disrupted in Kullu and Lahaul due to heavy snowfall and rain –

On the other hand, due to heavy rains and snowfall in Lahaul-Spiti and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh, life has become disrupted. Due to snowfall in Atal Tunnel, Lahaul’s connectivity with Kullu district headquarters has been cut off. So far, 120 cm fresh snowfall in South Portal of Atal Tunnel Rohtang, 60 cm in North Portal, 75 cm in Keylong, 60 cm in Sissu and Solangnala has been recorded by IMD Shimla.

Continuous rain is wreaking havoc in Kullu district for the last three days. Due to continuous heavy rains in the district, the miseries of common people have increased.

15 buses of Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) plying on rural routes are stuck due to snowfall and rain. Due to which the problems of the villagers are increasing.

To complete the necessary work, the villagers of the district have to walk towards their destination. At the same time, 150 roads and 28 electricity transformers in Kullu and Lahaul-Spiti districts, including two national highways, are still closed.

Due to heavy snowfall in Kinnaur district also, the entire life is disrupted. The movement of HRTC buses has come to a standstill in the rural areas of the district. There is power cut in most of the panchayats of the district since Saturday. Four feet snowfall has been recorded by IMD Shimla in Chitkul, Raksham and Kalpa of Kinnaur district.
