Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Dharamshala, May 28Kangra District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa said that To vote in the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections in Himachal Pradesh on Saturday, 1st June, all the voters will cast their vote by showing the voter card or any one of the twelve other documents prescribed by the Election Commission as identity card at the time of voting.

Hemraj Bairwa said that all the voters of Himachal Pradesh who cannot produce their voter photo identity card for any reason will have to produce any one of the 12 alternative photo identity documents to prove their identity while voting.He requested the people of the state to cast their votes in the Lok Sabha and Assembly by-elections.

Hemraj Bairwa told that for voting on June 01, voters should have voter identity card with photo or Indian passport, driving license, service identity card (Central, State, PSU and public limited companies), passbook (issued by bank/post office with photo), PAN Card, Health Insurance Smart Card (issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labour), Smart Card issued by RGI under NPR, MNREGA Job Card, Pension Document (with photo), Government Identity Card (issued to MPs, MLAs and Legislative Council Members ), Aadhaar Card or Unique Disability ID Card issued by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, You must bring one of the following documents with you.
