Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Hamirpur, May 17An attempt has been made to burn a person alive by pouring oil on him by two accused persons in Chabutara Gram Panchayat of Sujanpur police station area of Hamirpur district of Himachal Pradesh.In the heart-wrenching incident, the seriously injured person was taken by his family members to the Medical College, Hamirpur, from where after first aid, the doctors referred the seriously injured person to Tanda Medical College, where the condition of the person is said to be critical.

Sujanpur police station in-charge said that Praveen Kumar, aged forty-three years, was set on fire by pouring oil on his body by the accused Avinash and Sahil of Chabutra Gram Panchayat and immediately both the accused persons fled from the spot.
On the complaint of a seriously injured person, a case has been registered against both the accused persons by the Sujanpur police station in-charge. The injured youth told the Sujanpur police station in-charge that he was sitting with the two accused when both of them sprinkled oil on him. But he thought that both the friends were joking but both the accused ran away after setting fire to his body, then he ran towards the house and from there the family members immediately got the injured admitted to the Medical College, Hamirpur.
After that the Medical College Hamirpur administration informed the entire matter to Sujanpur Police.
On the complaint of injured Praveen Kumar, aged forty-three years, Sujanpur Police has started investigation into the entire matter and also a search operation has been started to nab the two absconding accused, Avinash and Sahil.
Sujanpur police station in-charge Mastram Nayak said that based on the complaint of the injured, a case has been registered and investigation has been started and both the accused will soon be sent behind the bars.
