Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, June 07 :Now TGT recruitment on commission basis in government schools of Himachal Pradesh will be done under new rules.The notification of new rules for TGT recruitment has also been issued by the Elementary Education Department of the Government of Himachal Pradesh.Under the notification of new rules, now NCTE rules are going to be applicable on TGT recruitment.Let us tell you that after 15 years, a notification has been issued by the Department of Elementary Education of the Government of Himachal Pradesh to change the rules for TGT recruitment and promotion.15 years ago in the year 2009, new recruitment and promotion rules were made for recruitment to be done on the basis of TGT commission. Along with this, the rules for recruitment and promotion (R&P) of different cadres were also made separately. Due to which thousands of cases are still pending in Himachal Pradesh High Court.
Under the NCTE rules, now the same rules for recruitment of TGT have been implemented for all cadres.
There are a total of 14224 posts of TGT cadre in the government schools of Himachal Pradesh government.Now under the NCTE rule, a notification has been issued to implement the same rules in all categories of TGT recruitment including medical, non-medical and arts faculty. In the new rules of TGT recruitment, it has also been notified that along with UG, PG degree will also be valid for all TGT cadre recruitments.
Under the new rules of TGT recruitment, it has been notified for education qualification that for TGT recruitment, if the candidate has less than 50% marks in UG degree, then 55% marks in PG will be valid.
In the new rules, a 4-year diploma system is going to be implemented for Bachelor in Elementary Education with 50% marks in class XII.
It is worth noting that under the new rules of TGT recruitment, To apply in the TGT recruitment process, a candidate’s UG degree with 50% marks and a one-year diploma in special education will also be valid.
Under the new rules of the TGT recruitment process, it has been made mandatory for all candidates to pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) recognized by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, Dharamshala.
