Solan, July 6: A 17-year-old girl living in Kathed area of ​​Solan city of Himachal Pradesh ended her life by hanging herself from a fan. The deceased girl has been identified as Ritika daughter of Krishna Chand, who was currently living in Kathed as a tenant. As soon as the information was received, the Solan police team reached the spot and took stock of the situation.
Deceased Ritika’s father Krishna Chand works in Shivalik Bio Metal Factory, while her mother runs a beauty parlor in Kathed itself.
Ritika was doing a computer course in Solan city. The landlord informed Ritika’s father Krishna Chand over the phone about the entire incident. The landlord told that Ritika committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan in the room.
Deceased Ritika’s father Krishna Chand reached the spot and opened the door of the room along with other family members. They saw that Ritika was hanging from the fan with the help of a dupatta. Solan police team reached the spot and took down Ritika’s body from the dupatta and inspected it. During the inspection, no injury marks were found on the body, only marks of noose were found around the neck.
No suspicious object or suicide note was also found inside the room. Statements of witnesses present on the spot were recorded and after completing the legal formalities, the body was sent to the Regional Hospital Solan for post-mortem. On Saturday, the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
The victim’s family has not expressed any suspicion on anyone, but Solan police is investigating the case from every aspect. Action is being taken under Section 174 BNSS in this case.
