Reported & Written By Kumud Sharma, Diary Times, Shimla, April 06: Sameer Rastogi, IFS officer and PCCF of Himachal Pradesh Forest Department, took charge as Chief Project Director (CPD) at JICA Forestry Project. On Saturday Sameer Rastogi reached JICA head office Shimla and interacted with the officers and employees serving in the JICA Forestry project. Earlier, JICA Project Director Shresthanand Sharma welcomed CPD Sameer Rastogi by presenting him a bouquet.

Let us tell you that the Himachal Pradesh government issued a notification on Friday and handed over the responsibility of Chief Project Director of JICA Forestry Project to 1988 batch Indian Forest Service officer and Principal Chief Forester Sameer Rastogi. It is noteworthy that Sameer Rastogi has served on various posts in Himachal Pradesh Forest Department from 1988 to 2019.

During this time, Sameer Rastogi was serving as DFO, CCF and Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCF), Regional Project Director Bilaspur in Mid Himalayan Project and excellent position in the Forest Development Corporation.
Sameer Rastogi has served as Chief Vigilance Officer in Central Government’s public sector undertaking National Chemicals and Fertilizer Ltd. Mumbai from February 2019 to February 2024.
