Medical student of St. Bede’s College, Shimla, has secured first place in Ideation and Hackathon 2024 organised by Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board on the occasion of World Environment Day. The event, organized on the theme of “Reclaim Earth”, saw participants presenting innovative solutions to tackle a variety of environmental issues.

Nishtha Verma, a first year B.Sc. Medical student of St. Bede’s College, Shimla, made all the judges think a lot by giving her fiery speech on the subject of great techniques of medical treatment and sustainable land use.

Let us tell you that more than two hundred and fifty candidates participated in the competition organized on the wonderful theme of “Reclaim Earth”, in which Nishtha Verma, a first year B.Sc. Medical student of St. Bede’s College, Shimla, has secured the first position by making it to the list of top eleven finalists and won a cash prize of fifty thousand rupees.

It is worth mentioning that more than two hundred and fifty candidates participated in the competition organized on the wonderful theme of “Reclaim Earth”, including students from prestigious institutions like IIT, NIT, Government Hydro Engineering College, Bilaspur and Healing Himalayan Foundation, But Nishtha Verma, a first year B.Sc. Medical student of St. Bede’s College, Shimla, has created history by defeating everyone.

Principal of St. Bede’s College, Shimla Prof. Molly Abraham and all the teachers have sent their heartiest congratulations to Nishtha Verma, a first year B.Sc. Medical student, for her memorable achievement.
