There has been a wave of happiness in the entire sports world of Himachal Pradesh due to the appointment of Manoj Thakur of Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh as the head coach.

Let us tell you that currently Manoj Thakur is giving world class training to the players by holding the small post of handball coach in the Youth Services and Sports Department of Bilaspur district, And on the basis of his excellent drilling training, Manoj Thakur has served as the head coach and referee of Himachal Pradesh Handball Team and has led the players to perform brilliantly in more than fifteen national tournaments.

Born in Sikroha Gram Panchayat of Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh, Manoj Thakur’s father Natthu Ram Thakur ji has retired from the post of HRTC bus stand incharge and also Manoj Thakur’s mother Mrs. Rajo Thakur has been a housewife since the beginning.

Manoj Thakur, who has been appointed the head coach of the Indian national handball team, has completed his studies till class 10th from Dayanand Model School, Bilaspur district, after that he has completed his studies till class 12th from Government Boys Senior Secondary School, Bilaspur. Then after completing his graduation degree from PG College Bilaspur, Manoj Thakur took LLB and Master’s degree in Physical Education from Shimla University.After that, he took NIS degree from Patiala, Punjab and also taught for one year at Cambridge International School, Batala, Amritsar.

Many players, after receiving handball drilling training from Manoj Thakur, are making the name of Himachal Pradesh proud in the country and abroad by performing brilliantly at the national and international level. Manoj Thakur’s wife Ruchika Thakur is currently a national player in soft ball.

Manoj Thakur, who has dedicated his entire life to handball, in a special conversation with Diary Times, said that by getting involved in agile and fit sports like handball, the youth can move forward and join the big leagues of the country and abroad and dedicate their entire future to the game. We can do this and help the country in stopping poisonous drugs.
