Hamirpur: The atmosphere became tense over the burning of effigies of dismissed Congress MLAs and Azad MLA Ashish Sharma at Gandhi Chowk in Hamirpur, the home district of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
Congress workers, led by KCC Bank Chairman and former MLA Kuldeep Pathania, were protesting against the dismissed MLAs and Azad MLA Ashish Sharma at Gandhi Chowk.
Here a clash broke out over burning the effigy of two dismissed MLAs and an independent MLA. Supporters of Ashish Sharma protested against burning the effigy and tried to snatch it from the Congress workers. The clash continued for two minutes.
Some youths managed to escape from the spot with one of the three effigies. During this clash, blood came out from the face of former MLA Kuldeep Pathania. The clothes of many police personnel were also torn. The supporters of Azad MLA have been caught and taken to Sadar police station.

KCC Bank Chairman Kuldeep Pathania said that the people who tried to topple the government through money power have tried to spoil the atmosphere by sending goons. He said that the Congress party will not shy away from taking legal action to ensure that the future of the youth is not spoiled.
Dr. Pushpendra Verma, the Congress candidate from Hamirpur, said that a few people were sent after paying money to spoil the atmosphere. Here the experienced MLAs have been sold, these youth are children who have been tricked on the basis of money.
