Shimla, July 22: The written exam for the recruitment of 91 jail wardens in the Prisons and Correctional Services Department of Himachal Pradesh is scheduled to be held on July 28. The written exam will begin at 12:00 noon, for which centers have been set up in Shimla, Dharamshala and Mandi. Candidates who qualify the physical efficiency test will have to report to their respective examination centers two hours in advance.
According to the office of the Director General of Himachal Police, the designated examination centre for candidates from Shimla, Solan, Sirmour and Kinnaur is Government College Sanjauli in Shimla. Jail Superintendent of District and Open Jail Bilaspur, Nokhu Ram Bhardwaj, said that candidates from Bilaspur, Hamirpur, Kullu and Mandi will appear for the examination at Mandi College.
Similarly, Government College Dharamshala has been made the examination centre for candidates from Kangra, Chamba and Una. The Director General has urged all the candidates to reach their centres by 10:00 am so that there is enough time for the check-in process before the commencement of the examination.
Admit cards for the exam will be available for download from July 23. Candidates can get their admit cards from the website of Department of Prisons and Correctional Services http://admis.hp.nic.in/hpprisons/ or from their registered email address.
Strict rules will be enforced inside the examination halls. Use of mobile phones, calculators, electronic watches or any other electronic devices and bags are strictly prohibited. Candidates are advised to bring only black and blue colour pens and cardboard writing pads. For more information, candidates can contact the department at 0177-2628852.
