Highlights –Heavy rainfall in the state from July 7 to 11 has broken all previous records and Kinnaur, Kullu, Solan and Bilaspur districts have received 800 percent more rainfall than normal during this period.
Shimla-based Meteorological Centre’s director Surendra Paul said that the heavy rains in eight districts of the state have broken all previous records and 30 per cent of the rainfall in the entire rainy season has been received in these four days only.
In these four days, 223 mm rainfall was recorded in the state, which is the highest so far.
It is raining since morning in many parts of the state including capital Shimla.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for heavy rainfall at many places in the state on July 15 and 16.
In the press conference of Diary Times, Director of Meteorological Center, Shimla, Surendra Paul told that if we see, 800 percent record breaking rain has been received in Solan, Sirmaur, Shimla, Bilaspur, Kangra, Hamirpur and Una in the month of July till date.
The record breaking rainfall that occurs, all those records are breaking. As far as the total rainfall is concerned, from July 7 to 11, that is about 30 percent of the rains, which happened in just four days, which you will see that the weather It occurs in four days.
So it is excessive rain and the districts that have received a lot of rain are Kinnaur, Solan, Kullu and Bilaspur.
The departure here is about 800 percent gross of the rain, so there has been a lot of rain. Similarly, every district of the state has received 500-600 percent rain. However, in the last 24 hours, Sirmaur, Solan and Kinnaur .
It has rained heavily in one or two places in Sirmaur. But there will not be much rain today and tomorrow.

But after that there is a possibility of them becoming active again after fifteenth and sixteenth it will rain again and we have also issued Yellow Alert on fifteenth and sixteenth July.
